KISTLER SECURES GRANT FOR MOMMY’S LIGHT
Exton, PA – May 3, 2007 – Joan L. Kistler, CLU, ChFC, of
Chester Springs, PA, has secured a $5,000 grant from the
MDRT Foundation on behalf of Mommy’s Light Lives On
Fund®.
Kistler, of Wealth
Alliance Co. and a lifetime MDRT member, nominated and
endorsed the grant application. She has been an active
supporter of Mommy’s Light for five years, including
serving as chairperson of the annual fall fundraising
event, and was named one of the organization’s
“Volunteers of the Year” in 2006.
Founded in 1997,
Mommy’s Light brings joy and comfort to children and
teens whose mothers have died or are terminally ill by
helping them keep alive traditions and simple pleasures

The MDRT Foundation grant will support the bereavement
education program for children coping with the loss of
their mothers.
This year, the MDRT
Foundation will award more that $1 million in grants to
more than 100 charities. On behalf of the MDRT
Foundation, Kistler presented this grant to Mommy’s
Light on April 28, 2007 at the Third Annual Mommy’s
Light 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run.
The MDRT Foundation
was created in 1959 to provide MDRT members with a means
to give back to their communities. Since its inception,
the Foundation has donated $17.6 million in 63 countries
around the world and all 50 U.S. states. The majority
of these funds were raised by MDRT members from MDRT
members.
