MOMMY’S LIGHT GOLF CLASSIC BENEFITS BEREAVED CHILDREN
King of Prussia, PA – May 9, 2006 –
The First Annual Mommy’s Light Golf Classic to benefit
Mommy’s Light Lives on Fund will take place on
Monday, June 19 at the Gulph Mills Golf Club in King of
Prussia.
Mommy’s Light’s mission
is to bring joy and comfort to children and teens whose
mothers are terminally ill or have died by helping them
keep alive traditions and simple pleasures they shared

“There are few things as
important as maintaining traditions, and this especially
holds true for children whose mothers, oftentimes the
creators of those traditions, have died,” said Michael
Doyle, president, Comcast Cable Eastern Division and
chairperson, Mommy’s Light Golf Classic. “I am pleased
to be able to support Mommy’s Light both personally and
on behalf of Comcast Cable and our commitment to the
local communities in which we live and work.”
Golfers are encouraged
to pre-register as the number of competitors is limited
to 92. Registration is available online at
www.mommyslightouting.golfreg.com. Handicaps will be
used for all golfers with a confirmed USGA Index.
Players without a USGA index will be assigned a handicap
through the Calloway system.
The event begins at
11:30 a.m. with a buffet lunch and practice balls.
Shotgun tournament starts at 1:00 p.m., followed at 6:00
p.m. by cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and the
tournament awards banquet. Prizes to be offered include
Foursomes: Best ball of the foursome - 2 net prizes and
1 gross prize; Individuals: 3 net prizes and 1 gross
prize; Closest-to-the-Pin and Hole-in-One awards on all
Par 3's; Longest Drive and Straightest Drive.
