LOCAL RUNNERS TAKE TOP PRIZES AT 2nd ANNUAL MOMMY’S LIGHT 5K RUN/WALK

 

Exton, PA – May 2, 2006 – The 2nd Annual Mommy’s Light 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Walk, sponsored by Kensey Nash Corporation, was held Saturday, April 29, at the Eagleview Corporate Center, Town Center in Exton.  More than 700 people attended the event, which raised $33,000 for the organization.

 

Mommy’s Light’s mission is to bring joy and comfort to children and teens whose mothers are terminally ill or have died by helping them keep alive traditions and simple pleasures they shared with their mothers. (www.mommyslight.org.)

 

Cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25 were awarded to the top three male/female finishers.

 

The top three male finishers were:

     

·        Darryl Brown, West Chester, PA (also first place overall)

·        Matthew Sandercock, Exton, PA

·        Bill Frawley, Philadelphia, PA

 

The top three female finishers were:

     

·        Janice Lear, Downingtown, PA

·        Cristina Reimer, Chester Springs, PA

·        Cathy Unruh, Reading, PA

 

Kensey Nash Corporation was the presenting sponsor, joined by more than 45 area companies and individuals in sponsoring the event, including Glenwood Mason Supply Company, Inc., The Hankin Group and MC3.
