Laura Munts, President of Mommy’s
Light, announced today that all proceeds after expenses
from the sale of a cookbook produced by the MOMS Club of
Narberth, will be donated to Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund
(Mommy’s Light).
Recipes, A Collection from Busy
Families compiled by the MOMS Club of Narberth is a
cookbook for everyone. The book is sectioned into
Appetizers and Beverages, Breakfast, Soups and Salads,
Vegetables, Main Dishes, Desserts and Odds ‘N Ends.
Several recipes in this collection are designed for people
with food allergies and are so designated. The book
includes a chart of food quantities for 25, 50 and 100
servings, microwave hints, a meat/poultry roasting guide,
and a handy spice and herb guide. In the unique Odds ‘N
Ends section of the book one can learn to churn butter,
create a bird feeder or generate happiness. All recipes
are indexed and there is a special page to list your
favorite ones. The cookbook is $10 plus $2 for shipping
and can be ordered by contacting Mommy’s Light at
www.mommyslight.org or 610 725-9790.
Mommy’s Light is a nonprofit
organization that brings joy to children whose mothers are
in a life threatening situation or are deceased by keeping
alive a tradition or simple pleasure they once shared with
their mother. The organization’s child focused services
help children through their bereavement process.
"Our goal is to fulfill the
requests of children between the ages of 3 and 18, who
live in the Delaware Valley, regardless of the child’s
race, religion, gender or socioeconomic background or the
nature of the mother’s life threatening situation or
death," said Ms. Munts. Mommy’s Light makes a commitment
to continue to fulfill the child’s request on a yearly
basis, until the child reaches 18. "Our vision is to be
known by every child/family whose mother is in a life
threatening situation or has died and to have the capacity
to serve these children."
"All of us at Mommy’s Light are
thankful for the enthusiastic support of the MOMS Club of
Narberth and their efforts to promote our mission," said
Ms. Munts. "We are especially happy to see recipes of Mary
Murphy, Mommy’s Light’s founder and inspiration, included
in this wonderful cookbook."
The MOMS Club of Narberth, a local
chapter of The MOMS Club, an international non-profit
organization supporting stay at home mothers, plans a
variety of fun and educational activities as well as
service projects throughout the year to benefit the
community and those in need.
