Welcome to Mommy's Light Lives On Fund!

And, thank you for your interest in becoming a Mommy's Light Volunteer.  Mommy's Light depends on volunteers to fulfill our mission of bringing joy and comfort to children and teens by helping them keeping alive traditions and simple pleasures they shared with their mothers.  There are many jobs to be done, requiring various skills, levels of expertise and time commitments.

"Thank YOU Mommy's Light for the opportunity to serve. It is truly a pleasure to be associated with a quality non-profit that is committed to serve our children. I have been associated with many, many groups over the years and I have to say that Mommy's Light is "light" years above the rest. From the work that you do, to the way you interact, to your staff and the way you treat your volunteers....you exemplify the professionalism that should be a model for all other organizations to follow."  Debra Zimmerman, Mommy's Light Volunteer

The first step in becoming a volunteer is completing our Volunteer Application Package. The package contains information regarding the volunteer opportunities available at Mommy's Light.  Please also join our Volunteer Email List.

The second step would be to attend a new volunteer training class.  Completion of this class is one of the requirements for becoming a request granting volunteer.   Please note that you may participate in any other volunteer opportunities prior to completing the training.  The training class schedule is located in Highlights, our volunteer newsletter.

Ideas on How can I volunteer my time with Mommy's Light?

Ideas on How can my group get involved with Mommy's Light?

Betty Christopher"I have been a lead volunteer for Mommy's Light, serving children in New Jersey, since 2001. I can't begin to tell you how this has changed my life! I can relate to the children's feelings of losing their mom, because I lost my mom when I was eleven years old. Through the years I have continued with my mom's traditions, and when I heard of Mommy's Light, I knew this was the organization that I was meant to volunteer for.  I look forward to my interviews and visits with the children, knowing that we can bring some joy into their lives."

"Mommy's Light is such an amazing organization, doing amazing things for families in the area. In turn, it attracts amazing volunteers. I love volunteering my time for an organization I can get behind 100 percent. But I also love that every time I volunteer, without fail, I walk away having met new, wonderful people who enrich my own life."
